This special issue will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the areas of circuits, control, communication, electricity, electronics, energy, systems, signals and simulation.

The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at CES3 (8-10 December 2011, Jeju Island, Korea; see http://www.sersc.org/CES-CUBE2011/), but we also strongly encourage researchers who cannot participate in the conference to submit papers to this special issue.

Subject Coverage
Suitable topics include but are not limited to the following (excellent surveying works in these areas also welcome)
  • Various engineering and mechanical system controls and simulation
  • Analogue, digital, mixed-mode circuits
  • Electronics: components, devices, systems and other applications
  • Silicon devices: technology, modelling, reliability
  • Circuits: models, electrical and electronic measurement and applications
  • Artificial intelligence, robotics, simulation and modelling
  • Fuzzy systems and fuzzy control
  • Circuits and networks inspired by biology
  • Human-machine and virtual reality systems
  • Aerospace, sonar and underwater acoustic signal processing systems
  • Circuit modelling and scientific computing with applications in science and engineering
  • Geophysical and seismic signal processing
  • Control relays, distance protection in high voltage transmissions and measurements
  • SCADA/EMS and information systems

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper was not originally copyrighted and if it has been completely re-written).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process. A guide for authors, sample copies and other relevant information for submitting papers are available on the Author Guidelines page

Important Dates

Submission deadline: 7 June 2013 (extended)
