Special Issue on: "Microgrinding"

Microgrinding is a process with increasing importance especially in the area of manufacturing nanostructured surfaces. Microgrinding involves the machining of engineering materials using abrasive particles that are bonded in a matrix interspersed with induced and naturally occurring porosity. The development of bonded microgrinding tools is steadily gaining importance in addition to the development of grinding processes with loosely bonded and unbonded abrasive medium. The call for papers on microgrinding for this special issue is a reflection of the importance of this manufacturing process.

Subject Coverage
The subject coverage of this special issue includes, but is not limited to, topics that address:

• Fundamental and applied research on micro and nanogrinding
• Case studies and applications associated with micro and nanogrinding
• Process and application development in the area of microgrinding
• Computational studies in the area of microgrinding

Research that spans several fields is particularly welcome.

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere
