Special Issue on: "Technology in Engineering Education"

The driving force of all science and technology developments is education. In return, technology serves to improve education. There currently exists a considerable interest in advancing engineering education through the use of technology. Objective oriented implementation of technology promotes active learning, broadens learning styles, allows for distant and delayed lecturing, and simplifies the process of teaching engineering.

This special issue is intended to assemble reliable ideas, applications, and tested implementations of technology use in engineering education.

Subject Coverage
Coverage of this special issue includes, but is not limited to, the following subjects:
  • Virtual classrooms and remote laboratories
  • E-learning and knowledge management
  • Learner tracking and skill assessment
  • Simulation based learning
  • Software development for use in engineering courses
  • Multi-media courseware or modules development
  • Mobile technologies for engineering education
  • Pedagogical reflections on the use of technology in engineering education

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere
