Special Issue on: "Effective Use of Web 2.0 for Teaching and Learning"

Web 2.0 is an improved form of World Wide Web. A fundamental feature of Web 2.0 is that it can deliver and allow users to control interactive applications entirely through a web-based browser. Although Web 2.0 was not initially designed for educational purposes, it has attracted much attention from educators in recent years, and has also shown great potential for teaching and learning. Examples of Web 2.0 tools and technologies include Weblogs, Wikis, Podcasts, RSS Feeds.
The purpose of this special issue is to present the opportunities and potential of various Web 2.0 tools for teaching and learning. It will provide researchers and practitioners with the most recent concepts, theories, development, practical guidelines, and concrete examples of integrating Web 2.0 tools and technologies into teaching and leaning.
Subject CoverageTopics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Theoretical models of using Web 2.0 technologies or tools
- Strategies of using Web 2.0 for student-centred learning or collaborative learning
- Examples of using Web 2.0 tools in subject teaching and learning
- Design and evaluation of Web 2.0 based learning environments
- Future trends of Web 2.0 development in education

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere
