Special Issue on: "Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles"

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) offer the potential to dramatically decrease petroleum fuel consumption and improve energy efficiency. To successfully bring the technology to the market, several key issues need to be addressed such as component technologies, vehicle control, electric power grid, etc.

The aim of this special issue is to compile the state-of-the-art in plug-in HEVs. In particular, its looks to provide a forum for representing the most recent and innovative lines of research related to battery, vehicle modelling, vehicle dynamometer testing, fleet testing, electrical infrastructure and well-to-wheel. Both technical and economical aspects are relevant.

The research presented in the special issue will cover a range of issues and topics, including but not limited to:

• Modelling and simulation
• Control strategy
• Vehicle dynamometer testing

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere
