Special Issue on: "Approaching Dual Use Technology Development Policy and Strategies"

While discussions on dual use technology have been in existence for several decades, approaching dual use technology development and policies is still an important agenda within the scope of the technology policy field. One specific chacracteristic to be highlighted, compared to the past, is that there is now an increased consensus on the necessity for the dual use based technology development.
It is expected that, with the special issue, a forum for discussing the relevance and importance of dual use technology policy will be created, leading to the application of ideas and research findings in the public and business policy fields.
Subject CoverageSuitable topics include, but are not limited to:
- Major trends in dual use development and policies related to it
- Future directions for dual use technology development
- Individual country cases or international comparison cases of dual use technology development
- Historical analysis of dual use technology development
- Long-term quantitative analysis to glean out implications for dual use policies
