Special issue on: "The Interdisciplinary Aspects of Public Health and Environmental Justice"

Guest Editors:
Shane Epting, University of North Texas, USA
Michael Reiter, Bethune-Cookman University, USA

Environmental justice encompasses issues ranging from housing regulations to the distribution of natural resources, many of which have been addressed by researchers in environmental health science and other disciplines.

However, there has not been a significant interdisciplinary or philosophical discussion focusing on the public health dimensions of complex environmental problems such as climate change as they relate to environmental justice. This special issue examines the public health aspects of environmental justice to set the tone for future conversations on the subject.

Subject Coverage
Suitable topics include but are not limited to:

  • Environmental justice
  • Public health
  • Climate change
  • Sustainability
  • Urbanisation
