Special Issue on: "Resource Provisioning in Cloud Computing"
Guest Editors:
Prof. D.P. Vidyarthi and Dr. Zahid Raza, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India
This special issue invites research papers on resource provisioning in cloud computing. Cloud computing has become a business model over the years, and therefore there are many stakeholders with their own objectives. The service providers often intend to maximise their revenue along with offering a certain level of quality of service, whereas the cloud users are more interested in getting their job done via the least expensive means. At the same time, the users want to use the cloud services with a better service quality. From the system’s point of view, energy efficient provisioning is also warranted. Thus, the resource provisioning becomes a complex problem in cloud computing and to combat this there are a number of researchers working in this area to address the issues involved.
Subject CoverageSuitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Energy-efficient provisioning
- Provisioning in grid computing
- Provisioning with pricing aspect
- Provisioning with big data aspect
- Provisioning with storage aspect
- VM provisioning
