This special issue aims to share the findings of researchers and scholars in the field of knowledge mining, web intelligence, multi agent system and knowledge-based machine learning. It will not only take stock of trends and developments in the globally competitive environment, but will also provide future directions for young researchers and practitioners. The special issue will be of immense benefit to researchers, academicians, industry professionals and participants from technical institutes and R&D organisations, and also so students working in the field of artificial intelligence.

The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the International Conference on Smart Computing and Communication (SmartTech-2017), but we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit articles for this call.

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
