Special Issue on: "Organic Pollutants in Different Compartments of the Biosphere - Origins, Emissions, Abatement and Destruction, Risk Analysis"

The special issue will aim at presenting or reviewing recent findings on a wide range of organic pollutants in different compartments of the biosphere, the evolution in techniques to prevent, abate, or destroy these compounds and detoxify contaminated soil or other substrates. It will also address issues such as analysis, dispersion, and risk analysis.

Subject Coverage
Suitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Chemical and physicochemical properties
• Monitoring and analysis
• Emission sources and inventories
• Mechanisms of formation
• Incineration, combustion and fires as a source
• Cleaning off-gases and flue gases
• Destruction of POPs and other organic pollutants
• Their fingerprint or signature
• Thermodynamic aspects of formation and destruction

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
