Abstract: The IoT is the technology in which sensor nodes can sense information and pass it to the base station. The base stations will upload that information to the internet. The handoff is the mechanism in which chances of attack in the network is more and for that security mechanism is required. The secure channel establishment and mobility management are the two major issues of IoT which are highlighted in this research work. In the existing technique, the IPv6 proxy server is used which provides end-to-end encryption and handoff in the network. In this work, an elliptic curve cryptography-based technique is proposed for the data encryption and angle of trajectory is applied for the soft handoff. The results prove that the proposed technique has better network efficiency in terms of throughput, packet loss and the number of dead nodes.
