Abstract: The main objective of this research was to assess the nutrient fertility of the recovered ammonium sulphate by-product (ASB) from liquid dairy manure using an acid-filled tubular gas-permeable membrane and comparing it with synthetic ammonium sulphate (AS). Two rounds of experiments with and without limestone treatment were conducted consisting 12 pots in each round and 15 wheat seeds in each pot (four replications/three treatments) and ASB and AS were added. The results of all experiments showed ASB treatments produced significantly higher wheat germination up to 40%, biomass by 3,211 mg, dry mass by 318 mg, biomass per plant to 155 mg and dry mass per plant to 18.1 mg. ASB had greater availability of N and S which improved the plant growth parameters. Moreover, the applied CaCO3 in the experiments increased seed germination, biomass and dry mass more than two times by increasing soil pH from 5 to 6.
