Abstract: This study explores the influencing factors of the export performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, based on the merchant data of Wish - a cross-border e-commerce platform. The study finds that as the tenure of enterprises increases, the exports of cross-border e-commerce enterprises on platforms will show an 'inverted U-shaped' trend that rises and declines. As competition on the platform decreases, the exports of cross-border e-commerce enterprises on platforms will also rise and fall. As the tenure of enterprises increases, the impact of industry competition on the performance of cross-border e-commerce exports gradually weakens, and moderate competition prolongs the cross-border e-commerce enterprise life cycle. Moreover, high-quality business services, diversified product selection, and low commodity prices will promote the export performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
