Abstract: Sheep breeding and finding the proper location for this industry based on global positioning systems (GPS) are commercially available. However, existing devices have several constraints, mostly related to wireless data transmission and financial cost, which make impractical the smart localisation of all the animals. The main objective of this work is to develop a low-cost solution to enable the screening of a whole herd. The article analyses the results of tests and studies of the functional characteristics of a mobile shearing point for free range sheep breeding. Based on the literature review and analysis, a new design and technological scheme of the mobile point has been developed. Tests of the item were carried out in real conditions during the shearing campaign. Studies have shown that the MSP equipment is well adapted for rapid relocation, installation and dismantlement, in the transport position, the kit is transformed into a container, in working state, the equipment is deployed on a flat platform.
