Abstract: Fertilisers and pesticides play an important role in smart agriculture system where the ancient chemical fertilisers are replaced with micro fertilisers. This study investigates properties of natural and screened mutated strains exposed to X-ray irradiation and N-nitroso-N-methylurea (NMU), of Aspergillus niger. Studies have shown the specificity of natural strains to various carbon sources, which is possibly associated with a difference in the set and activity of enzymes present in the cells. An analysis of the results showed that after exposure to 1% NMU the resultant mutant strains had an increase in acid production increased by 1.2-1.4 times after the first stage, and 1.4-1.5 times after the second-stage of chemical mutagenesis by X-ray irradiation with a dose of 5.4 microsievert of the parent strain A. nigerCA7 led to an increase in acid-forming ability by 1.9 times, and the combined mutagenesis of the mutant strain A. nigerCA7-11(2)-312 increased it by 2.4 times. Studies have shown the effectiveness of combined mutagenesis, in comparison with the impact of separate chemical or physical mutagens on microorganisms.
