Abstract: The noise from vehicles has been reduced in current years. This paper describes a systematic approach to identify the overall gear vibration of the five-speed vehicle manual transaxle unit. The vibration characteristics of this manual transaxle unit were then verified experimentally. The paper delivers a review of the core experimental methods accepted for the examination and measurement of noise and vibration in a profitable vehicle. Gear engineers have long noticed the importance of seeing system factors when examining a single pair of gears at mesh. However, transmission systems have recently become more complex, with higher numbers of gears and components although the quality requirements and prospects in terms of durability, gear vibration and efficiency have amplified accordingly. With improved complexity and excellence requirements, a gear engineer must use progressive system design tools to confirm a robust gear train is produced on time, with all attribute, cost, and weight desires.
