Abstract: In logistics systems, improvement strategies are designed and implemented to maximise the operations' performance and to integrate the supply chain. This article proposes a decision support system (DSS) for solving the storage location assignment problem in a multi-client environment (SLAP-MC). The proposed DSS allows to improve the warehouse administration system and specifically the space allocation, for which a mathematical model and solution methods based on the iterated local search (ILS) and the greedy randomised adaptive search procedure (GRASP), are implemented and incorporated. The proposed DSS aims to minimise the order picking transport time, improve decision-making and automate storage operations system activities.
