Abstract: This paper aims to understand and examine the factors responsible for creating meta-organisations that play an influential role in creating environmental sustainability in emerging markets. The paper attempts to identify various factors of meta-organisation from the literature, which are analysed through total interpretive structural modelling (TISM) and Matrice d'Impacts Croisés Multiplication Appliquée a un Classement (MICMAC). Based on the literature review, 11 factors have been identified. The TISM methodology represents the hierarchical structure of the factors and examines them. The study demonstrates the relationships among the factors by examining which factors need more attention and why, and how to bring environmental sustainability through the emergence of meta-organisation.
