Servant: a user service requirements, timeslot sacrifice, and triple benefit-aware resource and worker provisioning scheme for digital twin and MEC enhanced 6G networks

Abstract: To minimise the application execution latencies of 6G applications, multi-access edge computing (MEC) technology plays an indispensable role. The digital twin (DT) is another 6G technology that offers data analysis and prediction of the system resources. The current works on DT and MEC-empowered 6G networks investigate either an emerging or traditional application execution performance, not both. The existing works did not present any intelligent resource provisioning scheme for emerging and traditional application execution over DT and MEC-enhanced 6G networks. To minimise the application execution latencies, energy, and resource-usage fee for 6G applications, this paper develops user service requirements, timeslot sacrifice, and triple benefit-aware resource provisioning scheme with an innovative network, timing, and numerical model for DT and MEC-enhanced 6G networks by considering heterogeneous applications, resources, applications priority, and requirements. The results depict that 67% time gain, 54.53% payment and 10.35% energy gain are achieved in proposed scheme over the conventional method.
