Abstract: A novel compact radiator with CPW fed dual resonance mode monopole radiator is designed for WLAN, WiMAX and 5G communications. This monopole radiator consists of inverted 'L' and a rigid shaped structure of dimension 36 × 26 mm2 on top of substrate. The 10 dB impedance bandwidth of fabricated antenna is 840 MHz (2.23-3.07 GHz), 920 MHz (5.03-5.95 GHz) and which overlay 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN, 2.3/2.6 GHz 5G and 2.5/5.5 GHz WiMAX bands offering good radiating characteristics in the entire operating bands. Two radiating strips of 20.4 × 1.1 mm2 and 7.7 × 1.4 mm2 make antenna a compact radiator.
