Abstract: The moisture of cut tobacco in cigarettes is an important indicator that affects its intrinsic quality and baking quality. As a result, in this paper, the dynamic transform of moisture in tobacco of type HNO were detected by oven and low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometry. For tobacco samples dried at different temperatures, the results of low-field NMR showed that the proportion of free water generally decreased with the increase of drying temperature while the overall trend of bound water remained unchanged and decreased slightly. From the inflection point of the relationship between the pretreatment temperature and the signal amplitude, it can also be judged that the conversion temperature of free water and bound water is between 80-95°C. It also shows that the content of bound water will increase, and then decrease with the increase of temperature when the drying temperature is over 100°C.
