Abstract: An appreciable number of female's worldwide work in the hotel sector, and cursory observation shows that just a handful of these women thrived in attaining top managerial positions. This study assessed the effect of leadership barriers on female managers in the hotel industry in the Sunyani Municipality of Ghana. A quantitative survey was employed in this study. Using simple random and purposive sampling techniques, two hundred (200) respondents were collected for analysis. The surveyed revealed that (55%) were males and (45%) females. Majority of the respondents (M = 4.06 SD = 1.780 P< = 0.0001) indicated that not involving women effectively in decision making reduces revenue in the hotel industry. It is recommended that there should be fair treatment for both men and women in order to prevent discrimination as well as include women in decision making to maximise profit in hotels.
