Abstract: Characterisation of decoupler membrane hydraulic mounts with different combinations of inertial channels and orifice flow channels is not reported at present. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to analyse the effect of different inertia channels and orifice flow channels on the dynamic characteristics of decoupler membrane hydraulic mounts at high frequencies. Firstly, to analyse the variation of the dynamic characteristics of single inertia channel decoupler membrane hydraulic mounts for different excitation amplitudes and frequencies. Secondly, six different combinations of inertia channels and orifice flow channels are proposed for hydraulic mounts, and the lumped parameter models for the six hydraulic mounts are derived. Finally, the effects of six different combinations of inertia channels and orifice flow channels on the dynamic characteristics of decoupler membrane hydraulic mounts with high-frequency small amplitude and low-frequency-large amplitude are analysed in terms of dynamic stiffness, loss angle, and relative engine-to-vehicle frame displacement transmissibility. The results of the study show that changing the number and length of inertial channels does not affect the high-frequency characteristics of the decoupler membrane hydraulic mounts. But the orifice flow channels directly affect the engine mount's high-frequency characteristics.
