Abstract: This case study explored 20 Taiwanese undergraduates' pronunciation lessons and activity designs on pronunciation to help adult learners who are learning technical vocabulary in their fields. The data analysis of the videos, final projects, and questionnaires reached the major findings. First, the most popular pronunciation problem of these 20 lessons was 'word stress' and the most popular field was physical education. Moreover, undergraduates tended to explain the pronunciation rules to their learners first and ask their learners to repeat after them with limited controlled tasks. They mainly used apps or websites as tools for teaching pronunciation rules, practicing pronouncing words, or recording for evaluation or assessments. However, apps and websites failed to provide sufficient pronunciation exercises on technical words that their learners expected to learn. Suggestions on effective designs on pronunciation lessons on technical vocabulary are provided.
