Abstract: In recent years, the increasing trend of population has led to an increase in energy demand in the world. In this study, a combined cycle with two flash chambers is proposed to provide energy for a transcritical CO2 cycle. The obtained results provide that the proposed cycle has energy and exergy efficiencies of 5.79% and 28.06%, respectively, and can produce 3.99 lit/s of hydrogen. The PEM electrolyser requires the most investment with a cost rate of $1.8/hr. Comparing the present cycle with previous studies reveals that the proposed cycle has better performance.
