Abstract: This study aimed to examine the radiation attenuation of three perovskite samples, La0.7Sr0.3FeO3, La0.7Sr0.3MnO3, and La0.7Sr0.3CoO3 (LSF, LSM, and LSC) using Monte Carlo (MC) simulation code and Phy-X/PSD (PhyX) software in the energy range of 0.015-15 MeV. Gamma and neutron attenuation parameters [e.g., mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), half value layer (HVL), effective atomic number (Zeff), equivalent atomic number (Zeq), etc.] are calculated. The LAC values varied from 777.363 to 0.847 cm-1 for LSF, 709.033 to 0.0841 cm-1 for LSM, and 794.686 to 0.0874 cm-1 for LSC. The HVL values grew from 0.001 to 0.819 cm-1, 0.824 cm-1, and 0.793 cm-1 for LSF, LSM, and LSC respectively. Also, the fast neutron removal cross-section (FNRCS) values were 0.109, 0.108, and 0.108 cm-1 for LSF, LSM, and LSC, respectively. As a result, among the testes compositions, the LSC sample can be regarded as a better material for applications requiring radiation attenuations, such as nuclear security and patient safety in radiation-heavy environments.
