Abstract: As the concept of cyber-physical systems (CPS) has evolved in power systems, it has increased the likelihood of disturbances at the cyber layer. In this paper, we focus on the unknown disturbances in the control channel at the network layer of an islanded microgrid (IMG), and propose a distributed timing secondary control strategy that considers the switching topology and unknown disturbances. First, the output active power of the DER is optimised by improved droop control, which improves the economic performance of the DER. Second, frequency, voltage and active power secondary controllers with disturbance compensation are designed to solve the disturbance problem in the control channel while realising the voltage, frequency restoration as well as the proportional distribution of active power for each DER in a fixed time. The stability of the strategy is theoretically analysed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by MATLAB/Simulink simulation.
