Abstract: Architectural mapping and three-dimensional reconstruction are important tasks in the field of modern urban planning and construction. Traditional building mapping methods usually require a lot of manpower and time, and do not obtain data in real time. With the continuous progress of technology, building mapping and 3D reconstruction methods based on real-time embedded system are gradually applied, which can realise efficient, fast and accurate data acquisition and processing. This paper aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data acquisition and develop effective algorithms and software tools to automatically identify, model, and reconstruct buildings. This paper verifies the feasibility and effect of this method in practical projects. It is more suitable for mountainous terrain, because the surveying and mapping stability of mountainous terrain can reach 86.7%, and the surveying and mapping economy of building surveying and mapping is greatly improved compared with that of traditional surveying and mapping methods.
