Abstract: The hybrid work model that combines remote and onsite work has grown in popularity in recent ages due to technological improvements and shifting work preferences. This paper aspires to analyse the mediating effect of employee engagement (EE) in the relationship between hybrid work model (HWM) and employee productivity (EP). Data were collected from 345 IT professionals employed in corporate companies. The association between the constructs were examined using PLS-SEM. From the study, it is disclosed that there is a positive association between HWM and EP. Also, the construct EE mediates the linkage between the two variables. The results indicate that hybrid model is a promising approach that can benefit both employees and organisations if implemented thoughtfully and can buffer productivity through engaging employees in the organisation. The study extends its novelty by analysing EE and EP in a hybrid work context where meagre empirical studies were conducted so far.
