Abstract: In order to improve the coverage enhancement effect, balance of wireless sensor networks, and shorten the enhancement time, this paper proposes a coverage enhancement method of wireless sensor networks based on firefly algorithm. By describing the coverage problem of wireless sensor network, firefly algorithm is used to deploy wireless sensor network nodes. Through the reasonable deployment of nodes and the shutdown of redundant nodes, the coverage enhancement model of wireless sensor networks is established to achieve the best resource allocation. The experimental results show that the coverage enhancement effect and balance of the proposed method are good, and the coverage enhancement time of wireless sensor networks can be shortened. The highest coverage rate of this method is 99.1%.
