Abstract: We consider two shortcomings in the analysis of innovation processes as a starting point of our analysis: the missing behavioural foundation and the neglect of the time dimension. We propose to remedy these shortcomings by figuring out a broader conceptual framework for the analysis of innovation by referring to Ajzen's 'Theory of planned Behavior' (TpB) and creativity research. Based on that it is specified how these conceptual enhancements of innovation research can be used in the design of questionnaires for empirical enquiries.
