Abstract: This paper investigates the potential of applying Cognitive Emotional Agent Architecture (CEAA) as a computational cognitive science study for modelling Emotional Intelligence (EI) in corporate Human Resource Appraisal (HRA) systems. We also hypothesise that the IT techniques developed in cognitive science can provide practical solutions to knowledge sharing and knowledge visualisation problems in Human Resource Management (HRM) systems in Japan. To solve these problems we introduce HRA framework as an analysis framework with a Business Process Agent (BPA) simulator and HRA ontology as solutions for the problems. Applying these solutions and CEAA to simple recruitment interview cases, we analyse the applicability of the proposed solutions.
