Abstract: Special analytical methodology for model-model and model-measurement comparison is presented. It can be used with the data provided by airborne transport models. Basic statistical procedures have been elaborated for model calibration and for analysis of the quality and representativeness of the datasets. Special adaptation of well-known methods and elaboration of new ones have been carried out to take into consideration the specific features of the analysed data. Analytical procedures are applied in a software package developed as a user-friendly environment. It has been used for calibrations of models of the airborne transport of heavy metals and acid compounds and for inter-comparison of models of the dispersion of heavy metals.
