CEE in defence-related industries: the Connecticut experience

Abstract: Continuing engineering education (CEE) in defence plants is generally performed at site locations, often some distance from a college's main campus. Difficulties created by this environment are discussed in the context of the University of New Haven's experience in Connecticut. Faculty and student support must come in unique ways, and be delivered within an institutional mission which specifically includes continuing education. The University's programs have succeeded, and provide a model for such operations.
