Abstract: Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 (LAS) glass, containing mixed colouring agents (Fe2O3 + Co2O3 + Ni2O3), was prepared by the melting method. The effects of colouring agents on the colourisation and structure of the LAS glass ceramic were investigated by UV-vis, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), infrared absorption spectra (IR) and Raman scattering spectra. The results show that the mixed colouring agents generate strong superposition absorption of visible light to blacken the LAS glass, the LAS glass. The colouring agents did not change the crystalline structure of LAS glass ceramic, suggesting that there is no effect on the main phase formation and transformation. However, they reduced the crystallisation ability of the LAS glass by introducing colourisation ions into the silicon oxygen tetrahedron of the glass structure.
