Abstract: The success of the strategic management of e-learning depends to a considerable extent on student acceptance and use of such a virtual learning system. In this paper, the e-learning system (ELS) is presented and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to explain user acceptance. We investigate and discuss the TAM results, involving a different technology, and used in a different context. In this field study, as an initial attempt to understand students' beliefs, attitudes and intentions and their inter-relationships, our results show that TAM performs well in explaining them.
