Abstract: This paper presents a descriptive analysis concerning the evolution of the demand of psychological and psychoeducational support in the programme of psychological advising at the University of Alicante from 1998 to 2008. The analysis begins with a comparative study of qualitative variables: type of demands and their relation with gender, degree and academic course. An analysis of the evolution of the service shows the development of the demand and which areas have been more requested during the ten years analysed. The results demonstrate the relevance these services acquire and the enhancing paper they play in the university framework.
