A study of Arab entrepreneurs in Christchurch, New Zealand

Abstract: As part of interacting and integrating with New Zealand culture, the lifestyle of Arabs in Christchurch is influenced by factors such as government policies, language difficulties and cultural differences, prompting a number of Arab minority entrepreneurs to consider self-employment. Entrepreneurship among the Arab minority in Christchurch is not motivated by the profit factor alone, as family circumstances and cultural values make entrepreneurship for this group of minority an essential tool for surviving in a new society, and adapting to their new life.
