Abstract: The entropy generation and minimisation have been numerically studied in eccentric curved annular square ducts for steady, hydrodynamically and thermally fully developed and incompressible laminar flow with constant physical properties under constant wall temperature. Solutions have been achieved for Dean numbers ranging from 2.3 to 207.2, annulus dimension ratios of 5.5, 3.8, 2.9 and 2.36, Prandtl number of 0.7 and two different core positions. Accordingly, it has been concluded that the volumetric entropy generation owing to the heat transfer irreversibility creates the volumetric entropy generation in the eccentric curved annular square ducts exposed to constant surface temperature.
