Abstract: Recent research has shown that information systems planning has remained an enduring issue. Group meetings and interviews with forty-four information systems managers provided the reasons that information systems planning remains an enduring issue. An examination of the reasons helps increase our understanding and appreciation of the challenges of information systems planning.
