International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology (IJCAT), Vol. 6, No. 2/3, 1993

Abstract: In developing countries the direct and indirect costs of imported equipment and components are very high. The local instrumentation industry needs to produce low cost equipment in order to be able to compete with imported ones. This work describes the developing of a plotter without difficult-to-find components such as CPU, EPROM and RAM. The results show that without sacrificing speed and plotting quality one could obtain a low cost plotter with simple electronic circuitry, easy maintenance and great flexibility in programming.
