Abstract: The direct current/direct current converter (DC/DC) is an important component in electric vehicles (EVs), and it is one of the main electromagnetic interference (EMI) sources in EVs. On the basis of EVs' platform of Chang'an automobile, DC/DC working principle and its EMI mechanism are researched, and characteristics of EMI noise generated in a DC/DC converter are investigated through experiments. Then controlling methods for conducted and radiated EMI noises produced by DC/DC are proposed. Results show that the DC/DC designed by electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) technology has good EMI noise performance, and can be good to satisfy the application requirement in EVs.
