Technology management initiatives for sustainable agriculture

Abstract: Central to the Medium-Term Plan (2000-2004) of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD) is the development of technology management modalities and initiatives that address the interconnected issues of sustainability, productivity and competitiveness in the agriculture and natural resources sectors. These modalities are integrated under PCARRD's banner program for technology promotion and commercialisation known as Techno Gabay. The Techno Gabay demonstrates a paradigm shift from componential approach to systems approach; from mere coordination to coordination cum integration; and from fixed process to dynamic process.
