Abstract: Aerospace engineering is one of the best feasible areas to investigate the effect of multidisciplinary and multiobjective design optimisation processes. The miscellaneous disciplines and their key factors compete with each other which in turn complicate the design and expend the available time to complete the process. In this study, a knowledge-based engineering technique is addressed to improve the multidisciplinary and multiobjective optimisation process for a selected combat aircraft mission. The results show that the applied technique increases the efficiency of the optimisation method for overall aircraft design process.
