Abstract: The study aims to present the supplier selection (SS) model under changing criteria environment based upon the market, because not all suppliers in the market are capable to perform potentially under the considered set of criteria. However, the practical situation related to criteria and supplier's attributes in the company vary from time to time due to this uncertain environment. In order to this, an SS model based upon the fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is proposed. The approach includes fuzziness with the strategic perspective of finding the best set with suppliers in order to cope of the uncertainties. The methodology is validated through realistic data taken from an Indian automotive company. Subsequently, sensitivity analysis is conducted to determine the robustness of the process. This identifies the robust set of criteria for evaluation of the problem which often means changing the product.
