Abstract: The purpose of this research is to study the relevance of key concepts and step-by-step problem-solving process of computational thinking. After the computing thinking developed-based SW for non-major subjects for the study was carried out 16 weeks based on computational thinking SW-based education. Based on the survey, since the problem-solving process was examined whether the need for computational thinking concept. Results, analysis data to understand the problem, the choice of algorithms and procedures, and best practice in the design of automated solutions to problems that have showed the highest influence. I hope the study enabled on the application of computational thinking of the nine core elements in order to improve the problem solving skills of learners based on the findings of the study.
Keywords: computational thinking; SW education; problem solving; factor analysis; correlation analysis; hierarchical regression analysis.
