Abstract: The multi-disciplinary nature of mechatronic systems significantly increases difficulty of the development process. In fact, in the mechatronic design process, the efficiency of the design process and the performance of the mechanisms can be improved or optimised during concurrent, integrated development of the mechanisms, control systems and advanced information systems. The synergistic aspect of mechatronic systems makes their design challenging to take into account all the interactions among components of diverse domains. The object of this paper is to present some research works on the application of mechatronics in the field of agricultural engineering and some interesting design methods for mechatronic systems.
Keywords: mechatronic systems; agricultural engineering; design methods; bond graphs.
