Abstract: This article determines a common perspective for talent tensions by insisting talented individuals' viewpoints on how to be treated in the talent management system (TMS). Thus, multi-sources qualitative data through Glaserian approach of grounded theory (GT) are employed for study in an Iranian context. Along purposive and theoretical sampling, semi-structured interviews are held among professors, managers, and talented employees. Through substantive and theoretical coding in MaxQDA12, the emerged GT forms around employability quest regarding transformation of self in 'identity-self' theoretical coding family. Corresponding categories inform the joint TM practical and theoretical perspective. The common boundary considers elites' core-self at the centre of talent phenomena (TP) formation with presenting their protean and boundaryless job orientations as intermediary of employability quest and individual entrepreneurship. Also, eliteness role posits as consequence of TP management around elites' entrepreneurial creativity anchor. Implications are also suggested for practical and scholar applicability.
