Abstract: The pool influences greatly on its fire diffusion behaviours in enclosed space. The effect of the fuel pool on fire temperature in engine nacelle was investigated. We established nacelle physical model based on a turbofan engine and its numerical model. Three pool areas, shapes and positions were considered. The slice and four detectors were installed in the nacelle to obtain the temperature evolution and cloud charts. The results indicate that temperature evolution divides into both increasing stage in few seconds and steady stage with oscillation. For different area pools, the pool area increase augments the temperature at left-right sides or top and bottom of the nacelle. For different shaped pools, temperature at left and top sides of the nacelle is higher for the pools farther away from the fire source. For different positions pools, temperature at the nacelle left and top sides is higher for the front and middle pools.
