Abstract: Sharing of identity information is common and is used to avail different kinds of benefits from the organisations. But this process is becoming trustless and complicated because of the involvement of physical documents or sharing through third-party online service providers. To overcome this, the paper proposes a decentralised way of sharing users' identity information with organisations by using blockchain technology. The information stored in blockchain becomes tamper-less and credible. The identity information of the user is tagged with their public key. So, whenever the user wishes to share identity information, they simply share their public key to the organisation and provide access to them. Also, by making use of smart contracts only required information is shared with the organisation for a limited period. This avoids the leakage of identity information.
